SW relays series 2017
Review
A record breaking summer...we had more than 40 individuals taking part in SWOA's series. In a year when Bristol OK took everyone by surprise by entering teams consistently, we managed to finish some way ahead of Sarum to claim third behind the usual series winners Wessex Raiders.
JOG fixtures published

Golden Graham
Congratulations to Graham Hartley on becoming the 2017 champion on Bristol OK's urban summer series, winning the Green (middle length) course. It went down to the wire, with Graham stealing in ahead of the favourite for the title when she missed a control

General news
Urban O & controller's course
On Wednesday (12 July), Graham Hartley's pursuit of honours in the Bristol summer urban series continued.
Another two members attended a training course with a difference recently- partly set in the genteel surroundings of a village hall, the other bit being on Dartmoor!
3rd place for relay team
Furrow Hoppers, Gillingham
A team of five led by Brian Pearson did us proud at Gillingham School on Sunday, for the second week running beating everyone except the Bristol, the team already crowned champions and the usual dominant force, Wessex. Results

SWOA's restarts as Devon's ends
Our regional association SWOA has just restarted producing a regular newsletter, albeit electronically. This follows Devon's proposal this week that their latest newsletter is to be their last. Our club's last magazine was issued in April 2016. So what do all the other clubs do?
Dorchester & Clevedon urban O
Andrew & Graham go for hat-tricks
Our most two prominent urban runners were aiming for three league wins in a row, Andrew Page heading south to Dorchester and Graham Hartley northwards to Clevedon. Andrew won and now leads the Southern urban league table in the men's junior category. Graham had a very close race!
Sarum Moonraker relays
Following the herd
Four club teams competed at Dinton Park (National Trust) near Salisbury and the A and B teams finished in the top third! The format was very different to Ashton Court last week- very little waiting around and constant running in the midday heat. Plus dodging a herd of cows. Results
