Our junior section has become a bigger an ever more important part of the club over the years. What schemes and resources are available to juniors?
Our Junior Orienteering Group (JOG) runs during term-times holding low-key weekly events aimed at juniors, families and all those looking to improve or to train.
Though naturally nomadic, since 2017 we have gained a club base of sorts at the COACH centre, Taunton! We continue to have events or activities nearly every week during the season and try to get together when and where we can.
What opportunities does our club offer to help members improve and progress through organised training?
Every year, QO organises six local events with colour coded courses which form the Forest League. The series starts in the Autumn and continues at approximately one event per month until the spring. Trophies and certificates are usually awarded at the club championships in the summer.
QO members are organised into three teams, with each team putting on two QOFLs each per season.
