In mid August, Andy Rimes and Rosie Wych took part in all five days of the O Cerdanya 2017 tournament in the Catalan Pyrenees, straddling the French and Spanish borders. Both acquired good results... and good tans. Video

Rosie set herself a very high standard early on. She was 5th on Day 1, four minutes behind the winner and the next day was 7th out of about 40 runners on her W60 age class. Overall over the five days, she finished in the top half of her class.

Andy was pretty consistent in an age class that was won by a prominent orienteer internationally, South Yorkshire OC's Dave Peel.

Andy was actually competing against more than 100 runners in total- a couple of dozen didn't manage to complete a full set of scoring runs on all five days.

OK, the video here is more cheesy than a rustic basketful of Pyreneen Chevre, but it contains some action which neatly conveys the terrain and physical obstacles the runners were navigating through!
