style at the COACH club house - about 20 folk ventured out on a festive night event in French Weir Park.

Craig Sutton gave 15 club members an interesting and entertaining evening introducing aspects of First Aid appropriate for orienteers on Thursday.

Cothelstone Hill JOG
It was bitterly cold but dry day for the last JOG of the Autumn Term. Richard Sansbury planned some excellent courses using the area well to test competitor's skills at each level.
Club nights
Autumn 2017
Our grant-funded programme included presentations and sessions that promoted learning about and enjoying the sport. It also provided a rare opportunity to socialise and train with fellow orienteers!
Dartmoor event cancelled

A warm welcome to...
Millfield Prep School pupils Leon Harmes, Hannah Hayes, Joseph Cox and Zachary Lees. JOG has been delighted to welcome Matt Carter's mini bus full of boys and girls regularly on Saturday afternoons.
Vivary Park JOG

When there's an after dark event afterwards, the JOG session is for some a warm up...but not at Vivary Park it wasn't! Although the sun was out, it was such a bitterly cold afternoon it actually felt warmer at the QOAD event
Club night: review
We had an action-packed night with linear courses using smart phone scanning in French Weir park then three presentations in the Park Room, on urban orienteering races and then kit, followed by a discussion about the courses at Wind Down last week.

Controlling events
Rosie's focus last week at the COACH building was how we make courses Fun, Fair & Safe. This Thursday, Steve Robertson continues the theme of appraising & improving courses, relating his experience of controlling a wide range of events. Physical training continues as usual.
