The 2017/18 league tables have now been prepared by QO member and Galoppen scorer Spencer Modica. The veterans Bill Vigar and Tony Hext again showed up strongly.
Late May bank holiday
2017's festival will be remembered for a striking variety of terrain, with Day 1 on the dramatic open hill top of Long Mynd, Day 2 in scrappy woodland and a wonderful finale for Day 3 in sumptuous wooded parkland. Eight members made the journey.
In the South West
Hot off the press is the news that the JK for 2021 is confirmed as being destined for the south west. SWOA are asking for potential officials even at this stage in a whole variety of roles. If interested contact SWOA chairperson Christine Vince (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 10 June.

With the QO banner and club shirts centre stage, more than 100 pupils at Meare Village School near Glastonbury sampled the sport as part of Wednesday's annual global celebration of the sport.

Well done to our four new sprint champions, Richard Sansbury M45, Brian Pearson M55, Mike Crockett M80 and Andrew M12. The race took place at Blandford Forum. Every second counted, with Richard winning by 20 seconds, Brian 16s & Mike by 11.

Sussex, Bodmin Moor & urban
Two contrasting areas were on offer on the sunny weekend of 13/14 May, with nine travelling to Sussex for some forest and urban action, and another five tackling some fast open formerly mined terrain just off the A30 in Cornwall
South Devon, Sat 17 June
Controllers work with the course planner to help them create courses that are fair, safe and enjoyable. Many established controllers have or are on the verge of retiring. Could you do their job? Devon are organising the course, led by Roger Hargreaves, near Bovey Tracey.
Schoolchildren try maze
11 May saw the official opening of the COACH building in French Weir Park, Taunton. COACH stands for Centre for Outdoor Activity and Community Hub. QO have been using the COACH building for the base for their Club Night Training sessions for a few months now.
