Mallards Pike Galoppen
SW League (5 of 9)
There were some more excellent results for Quantock runners in the Forest of Dean, which also served as the third race in this weekend's Triple Gloucester challenge
Kingscliff JOG
The tough get going
The weather forecast was right, there was a deluge of rain between 1 and 4pm but some sturdy JOGgers defied the elements and enjoyed Ian Purnell's well planned courses.

Roughmoor JOG
Spring season begins
Angela Modica's debut event as a JOG course planner was really well supported, quite a surprise as the weather was miserable. The courses took in a relatively new area, Roughmoor, with the longer courses spilling out onto Longrun and the surrounding streets.
Yoxter & Dartmoor
Two regional events
Not only did JOG start again but there were four regional events nearby this weekend! There were two events on the Mendips. On Sunday, there was a choice between Dartmoor or Wiltshire woodland.
Results: Mendips (day) / Dartmoor
Forest League
Young Wood preview
We have a new venue for our third Forest League event of the season and everything still to play for in the league. With three scoring runs still available, people who haven't run yet could still win in each of the seven leagues.
Smartphone course
at Longrun Meadow
The existing permanent course at Taunton's Longrun has been upgraded to include Quick Response (QR) codes, which are readable by smartphones. Map
Festive period
Event reviews
We may not have had an event during the Christmas/ New Year period, but there were some other races attended by QO members. Some were prepared to travel far and wide to get their fix, with some mulled wine and Christmas themed quizzes thrown in for good measure.
