Congratulations to Bill Vigar on winning the Short Green course at this season's "Galoppen" series.

Tony Hext and Angela Modica were 2nd and 3rd on Green and Oliver Lewis 3rd on Yellow.

Pete Shirvington was top QO overall, finishing 6th on Brown

League tables

Bill held off a strong challenge from Devon's Jill Green, who could not leapfrog Bill even though she won the last event at Wavering Down.

Angela jumped a few places and squeezed into 3rd on Green at Wavering. It was close between Tony, her and a few others but there was clear daylight between Tony and the runaway winner, North Gloucester OC's W16 Rebecca Ward.

Oliver and his sister Annabelle had one win apiece during the nine event series. But they couldn't match the consistency of Wimborne OC's Monty Bratcher-Howard, whose brother won Orange.

Discounting the big four, members of the UK top 100 Ben Chesters, Peter Ward, Clive Hallett and Flurry Grierson, Pete Shirvington was runner-up in the chase for the title 'best of the rest'. Jeff Pakes was two places behind Pete and just one point ahead of Devon OC's Spencer Modica on the Brown course.
