Our Junior Orienteering Group (JOG) runs during term-times holding low-key weekly events aimed at juniors, families and all those looking to improve or to train.

Directions / Parking

The car park gets very full on Saturdays.

You might have to park at the crossroads at Birches Corner. Then walk up a few hundred metres along the path running through the woods parallel to the access road.

Course Information

Cater from beginners through to a good club standard. We call the courses Hare, Squirrel, Badger and Fox and these offer a clear progression in the difficulty level. Fox course incorporates adult training exercises.

Entry Details

£1 per head for everyone (whether a member or not).

You need to join a recognised orienteering club once you have participated at three or more events. This is a requirement of our insurers. Read about joining QO here.

Registration & Start Times

Courses open at 2pm and close at 3pm. Please try to arrive before 2.30pm for your run.

Terrain Description

Partly grazed open hilltop with adjoining woods, bound by a perimeter fence for the Hare, Squirrel & Badger courses.

Attractions & facilities nearby

The Pines cafe at the main crossroads 2.5km to the W of the venue along Enmore Road is open 09.30 - 16.30 for snacks & hot drinks and good views. Toilet facilities for customers.

Fyne Court NT is open dawn to dusk, has free admission and toilets and a tea room which is open 10.30 - 15.00. It's not far from the Pines crossroads.
