Inter-club competition

Captain's call

the subtle approach

Because of our new and rather unrealistic status as a "big" club, our captain Chris Hasler has an extra challenge this year making up a full team to take part in the heat near Gloucester on Sunday 15 March. Please email Chris ASAP if you'd like to take part.

The Compass Sport Cup and Trophy is the premier national inter-club competition. Many of you will have enjoyed competing in the final in Staffordshire two years ago.

This year’s regional heat is on Sunday 15 March and North Glos OC (NGOC) are hosting the event, at Coopers Hill & Cranham, near Gloucester and just off the M5. The area was used for a Galoppen (South West League event) a few years ago and is similar to areas of the Quantocks.

Men and Women who run Light/Short Green and above, and Juniors who run solo Orange or higher are welcome to join the QO team – running in your age group. There is even a class for our most senior club members; M80+ and W70+

As usual, QO will pay half the entry fee for anyone representing the club team. We will also arrange a minibus or two!

If you are interested, please email me by Sunday 16 February, with your name, age category and current dibber number where appropriate. Please also indicate if you’d like a seat on the minibus.

More details will follow closer to the event.
