This year’s JOG series promises ten events across meadows, parks, hills, and woodland—a brilliant mix designed to build skills and confidence. There’s something for everyone—whether you’re new to orienteering or ready to push your navigation to the next level.

  • 6 Sep – Longrun Meadow
    A perfect start: open spaces and clear routes to warm up for the season ahead.
  • 20 Sep – Wind Down
    Despite the name, this is where the action picks up—rolling terrain and route choices that start to stretch your decision-making.
  • 11 Oct – Cothelstone Hill
    Sweeping views, open hillsides, and woodland paths—ideal for learning to read contours and plan ahead.
  • 8 Nov – Ash Priors
    Autumn colours meet crisp November air on a course that mixes open and wooded sections.
  • 22 Nov – Ham Hill
    One of the season’s highlights with dramatic scenery and routes that reward careful navigation.
  • 10 Jan – Vivary Park
    A bright and welcoming venue to kick off the new year, perfect for families and newcomers.
  • 31 Jan – Netherclay
    Compact but challenging, with plenty of variety to keep you on your toes.
  • 28 Feb – Roughmoor
    Mid-season brings trickier terrain and routes that test map-reading precision.
  • 14 Mar – Thurlbear Wood
    Classic woodland orienteering with opportunities to fine-tune your compass work.
  • 28 Mar – Broomfield
    The season wraps up with a mix of open ground and forest—an event that brings together everything learned along the way.
