Wind Down

JOG2

Sat 20 Sept

Near: Bridgwater
Level of event: Local

Type of event: Training, Juniors

Despite the dire weather forecast, 30 JOGgers set out on the courses planned by Sheila Braine. Competition was fierce on the Fox course, and the junior courses were challenging for the parents who had to keep up!

Fresh back from his Ironman world championship, Adam completed the Fox in less than 30 min-impossible said Linda- and he lost his control card! We celebrated Linda’s birthday with a Hazel cake baked between ParkRun and JOG.

Various Club and QOFL trophies were presented after and we were back in sunny Taunton by 5pm.

Many thanks to Roger and Judy for organising.

Course Information

We cater from beginners through to a good club standard. We call the courses Hare, Squirrel, Badger, and Fox and these offer a clear progression in the difficulty level. The Fox course usually incorporates adult training exercises.

Hare to Badger usually uses PIN punching. Fox is sometimes PIN punching and sometimes GPS punching. The latter is also automatically uploaded to Routegadget.
