Handicap scores
& Score conversion table
These are the handicaps applied to scores to take into account the effect that age and gender can have on performance on rough terrain. They are used for our QOFL Handicap League and our club championships, but not our street-based MapRun series which has its own handicapping system.
Method
All times are first adjusted by multiplying competitors actual times by handicap factors based on the competitor's age class. "Age class" actually refers to the combination of age and gender, as seen in the table below.
