Congratulations to Andrew Page for a strong performance in the capital, where he finished third, just 90s behind the winner in the M16- category. Like in 2017, the action centred around the striking Barbican Centre.
This was the 2nd of three events in and around London over 20 to 22 September.
The architecture was Brutalist and the action...brutal? Covering multiple levels the maps had to facilitate a genuine 3D navigational experience without getting too complicated (see map excerpt).
Andrew held the lead halfway round his course before losing a couple of minutes on one control. M16- Results with splits
Martin Lewis' vet's course measured up at 10.8 km and his 83 minute run was well within double the winner's time of 47 minutes.
The Nesbits, Alan and Judy, made a rare appearance. Alan impressed on the supervets course, finishing 43/111 (Results here). Judy ran on the women's supervets (Results here). Former Bristol OK runner Alan served notice of his speed while representing QO in the summer relays in 2017.

Andrew's mum Vikki ran in the Women's vets course (Results here).
The Nesbits and Martin hung around one day longer in the Smoke, heading over the river to Greenwich Park on the Sunday.
