The North Gloucester club NGOC's Gallopen was held on Sunday was at Danby Lodge in the Forest of Dean and several club members attended. The icy ground minimised the impact of the mud and the wild hogs, which are churning up parts of the forest. Tom Hasler reports.

Notable results for QO members included Bill Vigar’s Short Green course where he came 7th out of 29, with a time of 62:18. Also performing well was Tony Hext who came 31/66 on the Green course, hopefully retaining (or improving on) his 4th place in the Gallopen league. So far in the Gallopen league this season at least 35 different QO members have competed in at least one event, with some, such as Bill Vigar, even occupying the podium. Bill is in 2nd place on the Short Green league, as calculated after six of the nine events.
