Club captain Chris Hasler has unveiled his line-up for the Final in the West Midlands on Sunday 21 October. A mini bus will be taking most of us there and we'll be using the club's superfast SIAC dibbers.

Chris says...

We currently have a team of 18 runners entered for the CST on 21st October near Cannock Chase.

  • Matt Carter
  • Jeff Pakes
  • Richard Sansbury
  • Sheila Braine
  • Martin Lewis
  • Graham Pearson
  • Brian Pearson
  • Karen Lewis
  • Vikki Page
  • Steve Robertson
  • Roger Dickey
  • Tony Hext
  • Roger Craddock
  • Julia Robertson
  • Luke Shopland
  • Thomas Hasler
  • Andrew Page
  • Sam Shirvington

The top 2 scorers in each class can score, giving 15 possible scorers from this 18, and the top 13 QO scores of these 15 give the final QO score. Simple!

Most will be travelling in a minibus arranged and driven by Martin & Karen Lewis. Others will be making their own way there.

Three spectators are attending: Judy Craddock, Jim Pearson and Chris H (non-running Captain).

Invitation to run at the Final

QO are through to the National Finals of the CompassSport Trophy, the premier inter-club competition, to be held at Abraham’s Valley near Rugeley, in Cannock Chase, Staffordshire on Sunday 21 October.

If you enjoy your QOFLs, Galoppens and the odd Club Championship, you will enjoy this fun event. However, we still need a full Team – so sign up NOW!

Thank you to all those who have stepped forward already, we just need a few more of you! Adults running Light Green or above, and youngsters running Orange or above – all are welcome.

As usual, QO will pay half the entry fee, leaving just £7.50/£4 for adults/juniors.

A minibus can be laid on, on a first-come first-served basis - probably leaving Taunton around 07.00-08.00, with possible extra pickups along the M5.

More details will follow, but first, Cap’n Chris needs to enter the team list.

** Please respond Yes or No, and if you’d like a seat in the bus, by Wednesday evening, 19 September. I will phone those who do not respond! **

Email response is preferred: chris.hasler@gmail.com or 01823 338921

Many thanks,

Chris Hasler

QO Club Captain
