UKOL 2021 Roundup

Published: Sun 19 Dec 2021

The UK Orienteering League has reached it’s conclusion for 2021 with the Southern Championships being held last week. For those unfamiliar with the league, the purpose is to find the top competitors in their age classes over the course of a season comprising of a variety of course and terrain types.

There were 16 events over the year all over the UK, including national and regional championships, Scottish 6 days, and more locally the November Classic and Salisbury City race. Quite a few of the events were within reasonable travelling distance for QO.

The points for clubs and individuals are based on finish positions (50 for 1st). Best eight scores to count. More details can be found here.

In the Club League QO had a strong showing finishing 33rd out of 111. The extract below shows the contributing members. Our friends and neighbours at BOK took the overall honours followed by SYO.
