2017's festival will be remembered for a striking variety of terrain, with Day 1 on the dramatic open hill top of Long Mynd, Day 2 in scrappy woodland and a wonderful finale for Day 3 in sumptuous wooded parkland. Eight members made the journey.

There is a good write up for each day of the event on the Wimborne Orienteers website (link here). A regular participant in our events Mike Kite reports that he enjoyed running in and did very well at Nash Wood, which reminded him of a typical Quantock wood. Glad we've given you such useful practice, Mike! A few competitors were also heard commenting on how similar Day 1 at Long Mynd was to the western end of the Quantocks.
