Those visiting us for the first time, we enjoyed showing you the ropes and welcome you back this coming Saturday, when our session will be at Thurlbear Wood, this time to the east of Taunton.

Jenny West planned the shorter courses to run round the nature reserve. The longer courses reached out over the river onto the middle bit of Longrun Meadow.

Special mention to the Ryles and Rigby party, some of whom completed three of the four courses, starting on the easiest course (Hare) and moving up to the second hardest (Badger) by the end! Not something we see being done very often.

Sport England funded project

The event was a key part of the above project. We advertised and located this event as prominently as we could to attract those interested in trying the sport for the first time. By using Taunton's western Park 'n' Ride car park for the first time ourselves, we also attracted curious enquiries from Saturday shoppers and dog walkers!
