SWOA will be holding a virtual conference on 23 January 2021 for event organisers to discuss ways to conduct events within the letter and spirit of the British Orienteering guidance.
British Orienteering held a webinar about this just over a month ago, but the feeling amongst SWOA representatives was that there wasn't enough opportunity for discussion.
We've had the guidance for a while now, and clubs have all taken it on board and planned accordingly. However, it doesn't always work out as simply as it seems it should. One example that came up in early talks about the possibility of a south-west conference was that it was all very well to direct people to return to their cars as soon as they'd downloaded, but quite another to actually get them to go.
