QO collaborated with Devon OC for an excellent double-header. Meanwhile the SW League series continued. Plus results from the second regional league event of the season and the Euro City League in Florence

Another busy weekend of Orienteering.

Long O

The Long O score on Dartmoor on Saturday saw Richard Sansbury 3rd on the three hour score. Jeff Pakes 2nd on the two hour score and Graham Hartley 5th on the one hour score. 52 competitors in all. On the Sunday with 67 competitors in all, Richard was 11th and Pete Shirvington 15th on the 24k course. Jeff Pakes 5th and Angela Modica 9th on the 17k course and Fiona Boyd 5th on the 'short' 9k course.

SW League (2 of 9), Wiltshire

Sunday was also the South West Galoppen League race at Collingbourne. Only four QO competitors with the best result being John Trayler at 44th on the Green.

Urban orienteering

In the latest round of the Euro City League in Florence Gavin won the Supervets (over 50) sprint race on the Saturday and was 2nd in the City Race on the Sunday. The start and finish were in Piazza Santa Crose and the course had control 2 on the side of the Duomo. A leg across Piazza Della Republica. A leg across Ponte Vecchio and a detailed loop through the Piazzale Michelangelo gardens.
