Andy and Rosie report from three days of summery orienteering on South Wales' Gower Peninsula
Despite their best efforts at promotion Andy and Rosie were the only representatives from QO at the traditional SBOC event. It began on Friday with low key event in woodlands above Neath. Unfortunately it coincided with a damp and miserable evening when the hardest part was reading the map in the gloom of the trees. Saturday dawned as a contrast with lovely sunshine at the campsite and a dunes event - testing courses to say the least! Social time followed with a bbq at the campsite and the dreaded spacehopper relay followed by mass rounders. The weekend concluded on Sunday with the 2 by 2 relay - less said the better about my first leg - I think the sunshine got to me! We would thoroughly recommend making a weekend of this event as a sociable and challenging outing.
