The way things are mapped has changed. A useful pictorial guide by Berkshire OC explains the effect of the new mapping standards.
The revised set of symbols (A4 / pdf)
The new mapping standard is called ISOM 2017, or The International Specification for Orienteering Maps to give it's full title.
Maprunner's website has more handy one page guides for the other two mapping standards, for sprint events (ISSOM) and for schools.
