Thanks go to all those who ventured out and made the effort to plan etc worthwhile!

The weather forecast for Brian Pearson’s JOG at Lydeard Hill was not good. Winds were strengthening and raining arriving during the afternoon as Cyclone Freya was due the following day! However, having taken the precaution of lashing the tent to the fence with the only entrance in the lee, the wind did not blow us away (completely!) and the rain held off.

Families and QO members arrived in a steady stream throughout the hour, registered and set off with a sense of adventure onto the hill. They arrived back red-cheeked and windblown but happy and satisfied. The Fox proved very physical as they descended towards Aisholt Common with stories of overtaking and being overtaken on the slog back to the top!
