Andrew Page planned the courses at Queens last Saturday, making good use of the complex buildings to encourage accurate map reading.

Brilliant photos from Jim again!

It was the first really “wintery” weather we have had, so it was good to see plenty of people turning up.

Andrew used the QOAD format of red and blue control colours on the map for the Fox course.

Poor Jim Pearson had to hang around in the cold again this week to take the action photographs but what a brilliant set they are this week! You usually only get photos of this quality at high level events. We are indeed spoiled at JOG.

Planner's comments

Thankfully only a few alterations had to be done to the map which left plenty of time to plan the courses all of which were enjoyed by the participants. It was a fresh morning and with not too many controls to hang out so we were able to get into the warm until the event started. A nice, respectable turnout with some new families coming along, one of which had sampled Chris' maze at Bishops Henderson the day before. Thank you to Roger and Judy for running the registration, Jim Pearson for the photography and the control collectors at the end. Without whom the event wouldn't be possible.
