Controllers work with the course planner to help them create courses that are fair, safe and enjoyable. Many established controllers have or are on the verge of retiring. Could you do their job? Devon are organising the course, led by Roger Hargreaves, near Bovey Tracey.

The course will be in Ilsington Village hall and is likely to run from 10.00 to 16.00. Practical exercises will take place on a nearby area of Dartmoor.

Controllers' courses can be a lot of fun, alternating practical field exercises with briefings, group discussions and reviews.

If you have gained sufficient practical experience, attending the course should be enough to enable you to be a controller at the level of a Galoppen or upwards. But even if you don't earn your badge you will come away from the course with some useful insight and ideas.

If you would like to attend please contact:
