Introduction
Welcome to the first lesson of the Young Leader Award course.
You can, of course, go through these lessons for personal skilling-up. If, however, you want to go for the actual award, please make sure you have registered by contacting chair@ in advance.
The Step System
The Step System is designed to provide a systematic progression of teaching orienteering skills that would be followed by coaches across the UK. The steps fit within the Technical Difficulties, breaking each down further.
In this course, we will mostly be looking at coaching steps A-D, though the skills acquired could be applied to teaching other steps.
