Our Junior Orienteering Group (JOG) runs during term-times holding low-key weekly events aimed at juniors, families and all those looking to improve or to train.

Course Information

JOG courses explained

Cater from beginners through to a good club standard. We call the courses Hare, Squirrel, Badger and Fox and these offer a clear progression in the difficulty level. Fox course incorporates adult training exercises.

Entry Details

£1 per head for everyone (whether a member or not).

Second runs are an additional £1.

Registration & Start Times

Courses open at 2pm and close at 3pm. Please try to arrive before 2.30pm for your run. We will start bringing controls in at 3.30pm so if you are still out, please make your way back to registration.

Terrain Description

Steep sided mainly coniferous wood. Stout footwear advised: paths can get muddy and churned up by horses. Parents with young children: robust buggies will cope with the forest roads and hence the Hare course only.

Dog restrictions

Dogs allowed but must be under control at all times.
