Results

Wood and scout camp with plenty of features in a small self contained area.

Courses will have a mixture of open areas and runnable woodland. Fox is a linear course with plenty of runnable woodland, route choice and changes of direction.

Map scale is 1:2500 and the course lengths are:

JOG Spring 2024 Series Info

Our Junior Orienteering Group (JOG) runs during term times holding low-key weekly events aimed at juniors, families, and all those looking to improve or train. Newcomers are always welcome.

Non-members are very welcome. If you like it and want to join, read about joining QO here.

Directions / Parking

Signposted from the busy A358 between Hatch Beauchamp and the traffic lights on the hill near Thornfalcon, further west. Please take care turning right into the site if approaching from the Taunton direction.

There should be amble car parking on-site right next to registration.

Please enter and leave the site very carefully as there will be runners in close proximity to the car park and entrance road.


Course Information

We cater from beginners through to a good club standard. We call the courses Hare, Squirrel, Badger, and Fox and these offer a clear progression in the difficulty level. The Fox course usually incorporates adult training exercises.

All courses use PIN punching.

Entry Details

  • Entry - £3 per person pre-entered or £4 per person on the day
  • Dibber hire - Free (but if lost you would be liable for the replacement cost of £30)
