Senior group training
It was the club's first training weekend! So how did the senior coaching go? Sarah Pascall and Tom Hasler each give their accounts.
Plus coaching team member Richard Sansbury describes the exercises the coaches devised and got their group to try out.
New arrival at JOG
The Toomers and Macphersons presented QO with a new mascot, made by Sue.
Elven in appearance, he could almost have emerged from the woods. He's already invested in some QO merchandise too- check out the detail on Sue's stitchwork.
The social side of our club
We have events or activities nearly every week during the season.
Occasionally we have social events and we try to share travel to the bigger events.
Several PB's at Parkrun
Was it the lure of the wine that did it? About 10 turned up for our President's Challenge, with several registering PB's (personal bests). All the more amazing when you consider our contestants between them had hundreds of Parkruns under their belts.
A flat track, non-navigational alternative to O, held weekly throughout the county. Popular with a fair proportion of our membership, including some of our keenest. There are several Parkruns held throughout Somerset, listed below together with club leaderboards.
Prizes on offer
With this weekend's forest league event having been cancelled, newly installed club president Roger Craddock has an alternative competition for club members this weekend.
Prizes will be awarded for the top senior and top junior.
There's just a couple of catches...
