Christmas message
from the President
Quantock Orienteers have suffered quite badly from the weather this year. Our Compass Sport heat was rained off but this had its benefits as it gave members a chance to perform on the big stage at Cannock Chase.
Venice street race

What streets?!
We're used to events being rained off, but held so soon after the ancient city's worst floods in a decade, it seems amazing this race actually went ahead! Tony Hext celebrated a big birthday in style there.
O 5 Dias

In Spain
Not content with just doing the Lakes 5 Days and O France, Andy Rimes and Rosie Wych have just completed their third multi day event of the summer! Andy finished 4th out of 40 overall in his M55 class.
Viva La France!
Besides being good at football, our Gallic neighbours can also put on a mean O festival. Just a fortnight ahead of the Lakes 5 Days, Andy Rimes and Rosie Wych enjoyed O France 2018 in Moselle and threw in some cycling and climbing for good measure.
Lakes 5 Days: update
This summer's festival
A couple dozen of us are making the trip....
Start times have now been published on Fabian 4.

Club nights: reviews

Spring 2018
The Sport England funded project ran for eight weeks from Taunton's COACH building. The proejct covered a variety of training courses, workshops talks plus an experiment with courses with GPS-enabled courses on neighbouring terrain.
Sheila's paintings
Club house lent artwork
Our club house has just been jazzed up with some artwork provided by a club member. Inspired by natural scenes, Sheila Braine's paintings seem to have filled a void in the pristine if somewhat stark Park Room at the COACH building.
